thank you i felt kinda hypocritical stomping into a church just to get some cool pictures, but fuck that shit... old ass churches look (architecturally) awesome, and if i see one, i'm gonna shoot it after i shot this one, some sort of church janitor in a suit ran up to me, and i was like "uh oh... not allowed..?!" but instead of yelling at me, he started hella complimenting me on my tattoos swedes are awesome
Haha that's awesome! And yeah I hate religion but I've always loved the imagery, and old churches do look cool. Hell, I've had some apartments decorated with so many crucifixes, weird Jesus pictures and sculptures and stuff, all things I'd find at thrift shops that would make people confused and wonder wtf my beliefs were lol
i don't like being associated with religion at all... you know the tattoo i got in sweden? the 3-eyed mouse with a sailor hat? the tattoo artist free handed that shit on my ankle with a sharpie, and when she was done she went "tadaa!" and wanted me to approve it before she started up the machine... and i hella put my foot down (literally!) and went "nuh-uh! hell no!" because where the third eye now is, she had originally put an upside down cross. it was super tiny of course, but i still had to say no, because i don't want any religious shit on my body she got kinda pissy (she has ADHD and tourette's!!), and just went "fine! i'll just put another eye there! "... and this is why i have a 3-eyed mouse (in a sailor hat) on my ankle
Oh I'd never ever get anything remotely religious tattooed on me. Well, unless the celtic rabbit circle on my arm counts >_> I think I explained oddly. Besides all the weird tacky religious stuff there was also my own weird shit, my art, other messed up decidedly non religious things and toys and all manner of odd. I think people just in general have been confused by my decor lol
been back since early monday morning, and i've had the worst jet lag ever finally feeling a little bit more "normal" today, slowly working through the mountain of photos to scan. had THE best time ever in stockholm, THE.BEST.TIME.EVER! weirdest weather ever though, sunny and warmish every goddamn day.. i was kinda hoping to get rained on, but no such luck
glad to hear you made it ok; kind of surprised you came back so quick since you have kinfolk there ... not stuck with staying at hotels and eating out during the 'high season'.
yeah, the jet lag coming back is horrible
when I was in DK in September, I figured it'd be chilly -> cold ... but i never needed anything more than a light jacket; and i also was hoping for rain ... had some almost every day, but it was always just a tiny amount.
living here in texass, i was hoping for COLD and EXTREMELY WET while i was there ... but nooooooo
anyway, again, glad to see you're back ... and a new avatar where where the teeming millions out here can actually see your pretty face (well, mostly )
i had to leave my husband here in the US since we couldn't get anyone to stay with our pets, so in order for him to not have a total break down i did a shortie run to sweden. i thought 10 days there would be enough, but it never is.. i was booked solid though, from early morning to late at night, pretty much all of those 10 days, so it really wasn't much of a vacation per se. i did pretty much get to see everyone i needed and wanted to see (and then some), but it would have been nice with some down time. next time maybe... apparently i took the sunny, warm weather with me when i left to go back here, because it's been hot as hell here (of course) and super duper cold in sweden; 42 degrees, windy and rain. lots of it
